The original oils that are already sold are there to give you a good idea of the types of things I paint in case you are in the market for a commissioned work of art. This painting entitled "Dreams of When", is one of the new images in a new series I am calling "Dreamscapes". These new scenes are from pure imagination, though inspired by the many moods of the Sonoran Desert that I have lived in and painted for over 40 years. This new series is all about the light and the colors of the southwest, only viewed as it might have been before we got here. This Limited Edition Oil is available in 2 image sizes of approximately 16"x20" to 24"x36". As you will see on my Limited Edition Prints Page, there are many other images to choose from. All paintings are framed in beautiful rustic frames that enhance the colors and qualities of each painting.

What is a Limited Edition Oil?
This process is an invention that I came up with about 3 years ago and has become so popular, that I am having difficulty keeping up with the orders! I have found a process to stablize canvas prints of my images and then completely repaint the image in oils, leaving no print showing. When I am finished, all of the original vibrance, subtle colors and textures from the original oil are put back on the canvas. In so doing, no two images will ever be exactly alike,as I will make small changes or additions to each image, making each painting in its own way an original oil.

This is the best of both worlds, making it now possible to have an original oil for the price of a good limited edition print, but since this is an oil, you don't have glass reflection problems and you don't have to worry about harsh lighting fading your print. No matter how good the print, no amount of printers ink will ever capture all of the qualities of an original oil!
